My Year Recap

  • Okay kiddies...

The year of 2011 was a heck of a lot better than 2010. 2011 brought its challenges, but who doesn't need challenges right? What it did bring that we needed the most was: courage. After working at Camp Bartlett up in Idaho Ed and I decided it was time for me to head back to school. School has always been important to me and I couldn't imagine never finishing my bachelors.

We moved to St. George in August and apartment hunted until September. (Believe it or not, St. George is very hard to find good rent) We fell in love with our little place. It was a 2 bed 1 bath with a HUGE living room and kitchen. It was our first apartment, and I'll always remember it. We lived close to main street so we road our bikes to the water park and downtown all the time. We would get a cupcake at 25 main or ice cream at Judd's and play at the park. I loved going to school at Dixie. I worked really hard and I got the lead role in Anything Goes for my senior project. It was one of the best theatrical experiences I have ever had. I loved working with my choreographer, my director, and my good friends. It was a truly memorable experience.

what made my last semester in College so hard was that I had to take all upper division classes to graduate in May. I did it. I took 20 credits (upper div) and did my Senior Project. I was so proud when I received my diploma. It took 4 years, but it was worth it.

Afterwards Ed and played in San Diego for my grad present. We moved back up north and found a summer job with Camp Kiesel (one mile away from the camp where me met) we have loads of memories of those woods.

For the fall we both worked seasonal jobs. Luckily we are both working those same jobs as we are hired on for the new year. Now it boils down to finding a new job, a new place, and maybe a new state. Who knows what is in store, but we have each other and that's all that matters.

Life isn't' meant to be easy. Especially married life. There have been many times when I just want to scream out "why me?!" But I realize, everyone is going through something. Can't be selfish all the time right?

Hear is to 2012. A new year for the two of us.
